With over 200 local members and growing, we are empowering women of the Big Country with the skills and confidence needed to stay protected in today's world.

Regardless of your shooting skill level we would love to have you join our sisterhood.

This Chapter is designed to be a private, women-only environment focused on empowerment, privacy, and comfort. This mission would be undermined if the space were not limited to cis-gendered women.

As a wife and mother of four grown sons, I understand the importance of confidence, personal responsibility, and creating supportive communities. After spending years in the firearms industry, I recognized a common challenge: many women were interested in learning about firearms but felt intimidated, uncomfortable, or unwelcome when seeking information and training at traditional gun counters and ranges.

That realization inspired me to help create a safe, judgment-free, and drama-free environment where women throughout the Big Country can gain the education, training, and confidence they desire. My passion is helping women overcome uncertainty and discover their own capabilities through firearms education and shooting sports.

The most rewarding part of what I do is witnessing the transformation that takes place when women step outside their comfort zones. Through training and hands-on experience, I have the privilege of watching ladies build confidence, develop new skills, and gain an entirely new perspective on firearms and shooting. Empowering women with knowledge and confidence is at the heart of everything I do, and I am honored to be part of their journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own my own gun?

No. In fact, if you are new to handguns, we prefer that you start with our rental firearms. This allows us to properly educate you on safe handling, operation, and fundamentals before you make a purchase. You’ll also have the opportunity to try different firearms and discover which one fits your needs, comfort level, and shooting style before investing in your own.

I’m brand new to shooting. Will I fit in?

Absolutely. Many of our members started with little to no firearms experience. Our chapter is built on creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where women can learn at their own pace.

We are a very diverse group of ladies ranging in age from 18 to 65+, representing all different backgrounds, professions, experiences, and walks of life. Some members join because they are interested in personal protection, some want to learn a new skill, and others simply enjoy the camaraderie and community. No matter where you’re starting from, you’ll find encouragement, education, and a welcoming group of women who are happy to support you on your journey.

Do I need to attend an Open House before I can join?

No. You are welcome to join whenever you feel ready. Once you become a member, you’ll receive a welcome email from me with step-by-step instructions on how to get involved, register for events, and begin connecting with other women in our chapter.

How many times do you meet each month?

Typically, we host two A Girl & A Gun chapter events each month. These may include live-fire sessions at our private range, dry-fire practice using our shooting simulators, and mini educational clinics designed to help members build skills and confidence.

As a chapter member, you’ll also receive priority access to classes and training opportunities offered through my firearms training company.

Do I need to attend every event?

No. We understand that everyone has commitments outside of our community. Attend the events that fit your schedule, and don’t worry if you miss one. Our goal is to provide opportunities for growth and connection whenever you’re able to participate. If you can’t make an event, simply join us at the next one that works for you.
