Curious about A Girl & A Gun? Join us for our FREE Open House!
Whether you're an experienced shooter or have never held a firearm before, this event is the perfect opportunity to learn what the Abilene Chapter of A Girl & A Gun is all about. We'll share information about our chapter, explain what membership includes, and answer any questions you may have in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
A Girl & A Gun is a nationwide women's shooting organization dedicated to building a sisterhood through firearms education, training, and recreational shooting. Our mission is to help women gain confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy the shooting sports alongside a supportive community of like-minded women.
If you've ever been interested in learning about firearms, improving your skills, or simply meeting an amazing group of women, this is the place for you. We pride ourselves on providing a judgment-free environment where women of every experience level can learn, grow, and build lasting friendships.
Our Abilene Chapter is home to more than 200 local members, ranging in age from 18 to 65+, with backgrounds as diverse as their shooting experience. Some members are seasoned competitors, while others joined without ever having fired a gun. No matter where you're starting, you'll find a welcoming community that wants to see you succeed.
We typically host two events each month, including:
- Live-fire range days at our private range
- Educational classes
- Simulation shooting
- Friendly competitions
- Social gatherings and special events
There is truly something for every skill level and interest.
We'd love for you to join us at this special Open House to meet our members, learn about the chapter, and discover why so many women have made A Girl & A Gun part of their lives.
To preserve the private, supportive atmosphere that is central to our mission, chapter activities are limited to cisgender women.
Membership is just $50 per year, making it one of the best values available for firearms education, training opportunities, and an incredible community of women.
